Coronavirus: PIB Alert beware of Fake UPI ID’s regards PM CARES Fund. Know the Real Fund Details

To combat the coronavirus, the Prime Minister on Saturday called upon the people of the country to donate and for this, the PM Citizen Assistant and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM-CARES) fund has been created.

To support the Prime Minister in the war against the coronavirus, there is a competition to donate to the PM Care Fund in the country. Everyone from the stars to the common man is donating in it. But many fake websites are also running in its name, which the government has warned to avoid.

Significantly, to tackle the coronavirus, the Prime Minister on Saturday called upon the people of the country to donate and for this, the PM Citizen Assistant and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM-CARES) fund has been created. Film actor Akshay Kumar has donated 25 crores to this fund. After this, there is a competition to donate to this fund and everyone is donating from the business to the film industry and from the stars to the common man.

The Government of India’s letter information office has warned that donations are being sought from several fake UPI IDs in the name of PM Cares Fund.

 

Real Mode of PM Cares Fund Transfer 

The PIB’s Fact Check team has tweeted, “Beware of fake UPI IDs being circulated in the name of PM Cares Fund.” The PIB Fact Check team has tweeted that it is the real UPI ID to be donated to PM Cares Fund – pmcares@sbi. Apart from this, if you have a link or message, which does not have this ID, do not donate at all. It may be an attempt to cheat you in the name of PM Cares Fund.

In PM Cares Fund, a Debit card, Credit card, Internet banking, UPI, RTGS or NEFT can be donated and donations made in it are tax-free under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

For PM Cares Fund, People can contribute with other than UPI mode of Fund transaction, PM Modi tweeted the whole bank details:-

In this fund President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Kiran Rijiju, Santosh Gangwar etc. have decided to donate.
