PM Narendra Modi Breaks Silence on Delhi Violence, Appeals for Peace

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted four days after the violence erupted in different areas of Delhi. PM Modi said in his tweet that peace restoration is being tried. Efforts are being made by the police and agencies. I appeal to my sisters and brothers in Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood. It is important that the atmosphere is calm and normalcy restored as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in his tweet, A comprehensive review was done on the prevailing situation in different parts of Delhi. Police and other agencies are working on the ground to ensure peace and normalcy. Efforts for peace and harmony are continuing.

“I appeal to my sisters and brothers of Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood at all times. It is important that calm and normalcy is restored at the earliest”.


Sonia Gandhi asks for Amit Shah’s Resignation

Earlier, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi attacked the central government, from the Kejriwal government to the Delhi Police. He said that the BJP leaders kept speaking of hatred and the government did nothing. He asked where Home Minister Amit Shah was from Sunday. Sonia demanded Amit Shah’s resignation.

20 Killed, More than 200 Injured in violence

So far 20 people have died in Delhi violence. Even after the government and police came into action, violence erupted again this morning. A fire broke out in Gokalpuri, Delhi. There is still a curfew in four areas of the capital.

Today, the Supreme Court and the High Court also came down strongly on the Delhi violence. The Supreme Court questioned the Delhi Police, the High Court showed the mirror of the government and the police by showing the video of BJP leader Kapil Mishra gave.
