Jeddah Tower: World’s Tallest Tower Completed by 2020

The Jeddah Tower will soon become the tallest building in the world. The Jeddah Tower previously known as Kingdom Tower is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Once complete, the building will be 3,307-feet-tall, which will render it the world’s only building to be over 1 km tall. It will have 167 floors. A preliminary cost of constructing the building has been estimated at US$1.23 billion and is expected to be completed by 2020.


The tower will contain a Four Seasons hotel, apartments, office space, luxury condominiums, and the world’s highest observatory. The tower will be part of the Jeddah Economic City and a major attraction in the area. The complex will be located on the coast of the Red Sea and is expected to attract tourists to Jeddah, leading to faster development of the city.


The Jeddah Tower was designed by Adrian Smith, the same architect who designed the Burj Khalifa. 56 floors of the building have been completed as of October 2017. The Jeddah soon become very attractive in the world. This is the golden opportunity for the Jeddah city’s economy.
